OmniFlow Gas Control Unit

Overview

OmniFlow Oxyfuel Gas Control Used With TurboFlame Torches

Literature (PDF)

The OmniFlow Automatic Gas Control System provides automatic setting and regulation of preheat oxygen, cutting oxygen, and fuel gas pressure during oxyfuel cutting. Precise, automatic control of the piercing process is possible for up to five inch thick mild steel. With edge starting the system will provide up to twelve inch thick cutting. the OmniFlow System is designed for use with MG TurboFlame torches on the General and Precision Fabrication lines.

The OmniFlow Automatic Gas Control System provides a separate user interface containing a database of cutting parameters for MG TurboFlame torches. Based on operator selection of plate thickness and torch tip, the correct gas pressures are automatically transmitted to the control module. Using this information, the control unit advises the operator of correct cutting speed, kerf, and pierce time. The database can be accessed in spreadsheet format, allowing the operator to edit or override the parameters.

Key Features

  • Enhances operator productivity and eliminates set-up guesswork.

  • Optimizes preheat and pierce routines to reduce cycle time and improve cut quality and consistency.

  • Increases tip life as the slag stream is directed away from the tip.

  • Pressure sensors on input and output lines provide more effective gas control.

  • Provides operator with capability to edit cutting parameters for fine-tuning of process.

  • Each OmniFlow Controller delivers enough gas flow to cut up to sixteen torch inches.

  • Built-in diagnostics monitor the cutting process and assist with trouble shooting.
